Dear Patriot,
TheTeaParty.net is dedicated to empowering conservative activists. Since our formation, we have continued to add new tools and resources that we provide to activists and local groups around the country free of charge. Our team at TheTeaParty.net believes that if we empower American people to engage the government, our nation will once again prosper.
When we recently received a letter from the Obama IRS demanding extensive paperwork with an absurd deadline, our concern immediately went to the local groups who were receiving the same letters. These local groups don't always have the resources to pay for competent legal representation. The Tea Party's power lies with local groups, and this attempt by the Obama IRS to silence them will not go unchallenged!
We are currently reaching out to local groups across the country and offering them access and independent representation from our attorneys. We stress independent representation because the attorneys will represent their best interest.
This is a defining moment for our movement. We cannot allow this administration who uses "non-political" agencies like the Justice Department and the IRS as political weapons to silence a single activist. We must be prepared to fight all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. Please help us fight against this attack on the 1st Amendment by making a generous contribution today.
