We have been telling you that talking and negotiating with tyrants and dictators is never a good option.  Yet just days after President Obama proclaimed he “has Israel’s back,” the announcement came that world powers including the US have agreed to talks with Iran over its nuclear program.  Talks without preconditions.  Similar talks 14 months earlier collapsed over Iran’s refusal to even consider serious proposals.  This from the New York Times story from January 2011:

“Two days of talks between Iran and six world powers ended in failure on Saturday, with Iran refusing to engage on any concrete proposals to build confidence that its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes”
- NY Times 1/23/2012

So here we are over a year later with the IAEA warning about “serious concerns” over evidence found at Iranian nuclear facilities, and these six world powers are once again giving in to the Iranians stalling tactics while they continue nuclear work undeterred.

Even Iran's IAEA ambassador, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, has made it known that sanctions don’t deter their nuclear program.

Tehran "will never ever suspend [its] nuclear activities," the Iranian ambassador to the IAEA declared. While international sanctions against Iran hurt its citizens, it does not hinder Iran's development of its nuclear program, he said.
- Jerusalem Post 3/8/2012

In this same press conference he called the IAEA’s suspicions of military work at the Parchin nuclear site “childish” and “ridiculous.”

Enough is enough.  Iran has shown ZERO willingness to accomplish a negotiated agreement with the international community, has continually advanced its nuclear work at every opportunity, and admittedly doesn’t mind harm to its own people through sanctions as long as it doesn’t affect their nuclear program.  Does it sound like Iran is a willing partner in negotiations?

This is why it is now more important than ever that President Obama understands clearly the American people Stand With Israel in opposition to a nuclear-armed Iran.  Neither Israel, nor America’s national security interests can tolerate a nuclear Iran.

The President said it himself to AIPAC on Sunday:

“Indeed, the entire world has an interest in preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. A nuclear-armed Iran… could fall into the hands of a terrorist organization. It is almost certain that others in the region would feel compelled to get their own nuclear weapon, triggering an arms race in one of the world's most volatile regions. It would embolden a regime that has brutalized its own people, and it would embolden Iran's proxies, who have carried out terrorist attacks from the Levant to southwest Asia.”

We agree with your words Mr. President. It’s time to carry a big stick! You cannot undermine your strong words with more appeasement and catering to the Iranian mullahs.  Continuing down a path that has led to multiple failures is not the way.  It is time to Stand With Israel for America’s security and that of the free world.

Make clear that this is Iran’s last chance at negotiations. Make sure this is not more delays while they continue with their mischief.   Make clear that politics and elections have nothing to do with this issue. Make clear that the only outcome is Iran refusing to build nuclear weapons and in turn a safer and more secure Israel and America.
