US-Israel relations should not be dictated by political concerns or to simply court the votes of Jewish Americans. Yet the Obama administration’s erratic – and sometimes adverse – policies toward Israel for three full years, followed by the recent flurry of promises that we “have your back,” can only be interpreted as being designed to help secure the President’s second term. This is a strategic time for the nation of Israel and its leaders – a time which will have eternal significance for the Jewish people and every other nation in the world. Last week, President Obama charged his political rivals with mischaracterizing his Middle East policies. Yet his earlier speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was clearly designed to woo Jewish-American voters back to his camp.
In 2008, Obama carried almost 80% of the Jewish vote, but recent polls show that support rapidly eroding by double digits. Maariv, an Israel daily newspaper, is reporting that President Obama proposed a deal to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding his request for additional US military weaponry…
“The US will supply Israel with bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes in return for delaying a strike against Iran until at least the end of the year.” The fact that date is AFTER the U.S. general election is no mere coincidence. In other words, courting the Jewish vote in America is the political motivator for providing military assistance to Israel, our greatest ally in the Middle East region!
Mark my words: Israel must never be a pawn for any nation or political leader! God is not mocked and knows the hearts, minds, and motives of men. The Bible clearly states that the Middle East is the epicenter of coming world events – and promises great blessings to those who stand with Israel in perilous times.
Will you stand with Israel – without any political motivation – in her hour of need?

Last summer, I had the privilege of informing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that over 100,000 Liberty Counsel friends had signed our “I Stand with Israel” petition. Out of that single act of solidarity, the Prime Minister challenged us to organize what has become the Liberty Ambassador Counsel and the relationship has greatly deepened since then.
I firmly believe that God’s favor rests on those who choose to stand with Israel. I hope you will join the Liberty Ambassador Counsel…you will be part of a select group of people who not only proclaim support for Israel, but also help enhance US-Israel relations.
Through our increasing access to Israeli cultural and governmental leaders, we are able to directly encourage these brave men and women that there are millions of Americans who pray for their safety and are working to increase the bonds that unite our people!
We are also educating Americans on the pitfalls of this administration’s ill-considered, bizarre Middle East foreign policy while also building a strong, positive relationship between Americans and Israelis.
Awesome opportunities have unfolded for our Liberty Ambassador Counsel members simply because we took a stand for Israel and began working to expose the misinformation and anti-Israel propaganda that often passes for “news” in our country.
The important thing is to stand!
