| Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman Liberty Counsel 3/23/2012 Two years ago today, Americans watched as the Obama/Reed/Pelosi axis of power deliriously celebrated the signing of the President’s badly misnamed Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. For the preceding six months, the ultraliberal 111th Congress schemed, coerced, and manipulated while ramming ObamaCare down the throats of Americans like you and me. Throughout our battle to stop this atrocity, I have said ObamaCare is the biggest funding of abortion in American history. With the recent HHS mandates requiring employers to fund abortion and dictating a $1 direct payment from individuals as well, ObamaCare is proving to be more tyrannical than ever! Read my “anniversary" message below - Mat. Jack,March 23rd marks two years since President Barack Obama signed The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law. March 23rd also marks the second anniversary of the lawsuit filed by Liberty Counsel challenging the unconstitutional “individual mandate” contained in ObamaCare, the linchpin of this unprecedented socialist takeover of a substantial segment of our economy. Together, we have been fully engaged in the battle against ObamaCare for nearly three years, counting the time this outrageous law was being maneuvered through Congress. Now, prayerfully, we are on the verge of seeing ObamaCare struck down by the United States Supreme Court. As a constitutional attorney, I firmly believe that government-mandated requirements for individuals to obtain health insurance are patently unconstitutional. Likewise, I believe requirements that dictate that employers provide such insurance coverage are also unconstitutional. These reasons are among many, many more why Liberty Counsel has intensely fought to have ObamaCare overturned, repealed, or dismantled.++President Obama: Anniversary? What Anniversary? Although he calls the healthcare “reform” law his signature legislative achievement, Barack Obama is not making any public appearances to observe its second anniversary. And why is that? Because the law is now so unpopular that it would be repealed immediately were it not for Harry Reid’s strangle hold on the United States Senate! Soaring costs, the uproar over HHS implementation rules, and ObamaCare’s disastrous effect on business’s willingness to hire new workers make this a sad anniversary, indeed. So much so that the President’s political advisors don’t want him to talk about it!The Wall Street Journal reported this on the “anniversary”… “With the law still unpopular with many Americans, the White House has concluded that it is virtually impossible to change negative public opinions, particularly if Mr. Obama is front and center, a senior administration official said.” And political evaluations don’t even take into consideration that ObamaCare is morally reprehensible and evil at its core!
