Dear Patriot,
The Obama administration has drastically changed this country for the worse. From the bailouts to Obamacare, from energy prices to job growth, everything Obama has touched has diminished the United States in some way. And now he has turned the nation's tax collecting agency - the IRS - into a political arm for his re-election campaign!
Obama's IRS has sent dozens of letters to Tea Party groups demanding they justify their status as non-profit organizations. These letters, which are intimidating in nature and are clearly meant as a means of political intimidation, even demand things that have no bearing on an organization's non-profit status. They demand to know the nature of the organizations' activities, they demand they disclose the names of their donors, and they demand the groups respond in an absurdly short period of time!
We are one of the groups facing this attack from the Obama administration, and as a large organization with hundreds of thousands of members across the country, we thankfully have a team of talented lawyers capable of dealing with the issue. But the very strength of the Tea Party is exactly what makes it vulnerable to this sort of attack: we are a bottom-up, grassroots movement with thousands of groups of patriots spread all over this country. The vast majority of these organizations are small, have minuscule budgets, and cannot afford the legal counsel necessary to deal with this sort of intimidation.
I'm furious that the Obama administration would resort to these tactics, but I can't say that I'm surprised. That's why we're coming to the defense of these local groups in the Tea Party movement and hiring a crack team of legal experts to counter the Obama administration's intimidation tactics. If your local Tea Party group received one of these letters, please email us immediately.
