Refusing to answer this ‘questionaire’ usually means ‘it’s O.K. to have a permit and carry for ME…but NOT for YOU ( ala Shumer, Pelosi etc who HAVE permits…CARRY, but are ELITISTS who don’t want US to have same! )
When evaluating a candidate, the most truthful method is to review their history. What they advocated in the past is a clear indication of what they really are. One doesn’t have to dig much to see what Perry really is. Perry is almost as bad as the democrap currently acting as POTUS.
You’re right Stealthwind. Bachmann and Ron Paul are the only two candidates who have returned the survey back to NGRA. I respect Bachamnn but Paul has my vote for now!

Also his point of hitting back so hard that whoever it was will never try such a thing again.. Then just maybe “X” country will start policing their own country.
NAGR looks like “Astroturf” to me. I’m checking in with GOA, SAF, etc. because they have been in the fight for a long time and actually do things like winning the McDonald decision in Chicago following the Keller case in Washington, DC.
In Perry’s case, the Clinton example should give pause. In 1992, he was asked about the Second Amendment on 60 Minutes and got away with an “Awe Shucks” answer about hunting and fishing permits in Arkansas. Then, along came 1994. So, let’s just keep our eyes open on this one. He might turn out to be OK, after all.
I have written Perry and asked him to fill it out several times. No response. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it. Ron Paul doesn’t car if Iran has a nuke. So what. I doubt if very many in the gun manufacturing industry or in gun sales are delighted with Obama. They probably happy that Americans are arming up, as they know it may be armed Americans, citizens themselves, are the ones to ultimately defend their own right to stay in business as the president and many in congress want to put them out of business. This article is an attempt to villanize the entire gun industry as profiteers. They certainly see the reality that if Obama is elected again their industry is doomed. I doubt that any of them are going to vote themselves out of a job (vote Obama) because they had a short term sales boost. Maybe wishful thinking on this authors part? Now, people who are really concerned (paranoid? heightened sense of awareness?), will be buying their weapons “off line” as opposed to “new” which leaves a trail. By the way, while the “Fed” may not be “registering guns”, people who apply to purchase firearms are effectively registered. Watergate lead to the Privacy Act. So far, so good. But, to protect that “privacy”, the Federal Records Act requires recording of access to those records along with the reason for the access. “InstaCheck” through your gun dealer opens the NICS file and checks for eligibility to purchase weapons. The Privacy Act requires a recorded reason for access. Ergo, if you have ever gone through that process, you are effectively registered as a gun buyer.
The idea that we don’t have registration is baloney. When you buy a firearm, you have to fill out a form upon which your name, address, type of weapon, weapon manufacturer, and serial number are recorded. What do you think THAT IS? It is little wonder that some have started buying their guns “off the street” to avoid being entered into some database. My question is, and always has been, “why did we allow this to happen? Where was the NRA? Where was our outrage when the Gun Control Act of 1968 was passed?”
I believe whoever is elected our president will repudiate everything Obama and his left wing cronies stood for. I believe Obama care will be overturned in the supreme court. Ron Paul may be able to do so but he IS the only one I see with the real commitment to actually do so. Most of the other establishment hacks (Romney, Gingrich, etc.) or plants (Cain and Perry) will make only token acts (enough to cover their a…s with the voters) because they are all, including Obama, “minions” of the “power elite” who control both parties, Dem and Rep, and almost every aspect of our lives.
