Senate Rejects New Green Subsidies

With your help, Heritage Action and conservatives all across America ensured that new market-distorting green energy subsidies would not be enacted. We've led the successful charge against the NAT GAS Act and now those who want big government to pick winners and losers are reeling.

When Senators Richard Burr (R-NC) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ) announced they would offer the long-stalled NAT GAS Act as an amendment to the Senate transportation bill, Heritage Action went on offense. We immediately told conservatives that this amendment was no different than subsidies for windmills, solar panels and hybrid cars.
Conservatives sprung into action, and in just over two days, 2,400 conservatives like you placed over 4,500 calls to the Senate, telling them to oppose the amendment.
Yesterday, thanks to you, the Senate rejected the amendment.
