Liberty Counsel King David perfectly captured God’s timeless admonition to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you” (Psalm 122:6). With Iran on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons, now is the time to pray for – and firmly support – Israel! Jack, In yesterday’s meeting between President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the two leaders agreed to allow “diplomacy” to work first when it comes to Iran’s nuclear threat to Israel and, for that matter, the entire world. But, when push came to shove, in spite of President Obama’s ideas of what tact Israel should take, Mr. Netanyahu boldly declared that Israel will be the "master of its fate,” saying… “When it comes to Israel's security, Israel has the right – a sovereign right – to make its own decisions. I believe that’s why you appreciate, Mr. President, that Israel must reserve the right to defend itself. And after all, that’s the very purpose of the Jewish state; to restore to the Jewish people control over our destiny.” ++Israel has never needed friends in the world community more than now. Intelligence sources around the world are reporting a dramatic increase in anti-Semitic sentiment and actions. The Middle East is now engulfed in a firestorm of political upheaval, much of it inspired by irrational anti-Jewish rage, which threatens to destabilize the entire region. Many once-great nations which trampled on Israel and shook their fists at the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob eventually disappeared. But not Israel! The continual existence of the Jewish people is one of the strongest evidences of a sovereign God who declares the end from the beginning! Not only is Israel biblically and historically significant, but today Israel is our greatest ally in the volatile Middle East region. I am very concerned by the treatment the Obama administration has given to our proven ally, Israel.
