Think Obama is attacking the Church? Watch what the other hand is doing.

Like most real Americans and sane religious people of any persuasion, I too am appalled by our President’s latest attack on our Nation’s core principles. Forcing religious institutions to pay for birth control and related elective reproductive care is obscene and he knows it. This is a man that, while not a muslim, is certainly warped in his beliefs after spending 20+ years in a racist black separatist church under the “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright. At most opportunities, he shows himself to be an enemy of Christians and Jews alike. Why cancel the National Day of Prayer so as to “not offend” but allow a day of muslim prayer at the Capitol? Why the dearth of Christ-centric ornaments on the Washington DC Christmas tree while having abundant obama-centric hangings? Why, outside of fundraisers held by Jewish organizations that inexplicably support him, does POTUS consistently show himself to be as big a supporter of Israel as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?
These questions are all sound and can only be explained by obama’s mixture of warped political correctness, a lack of knowledge of our Founding Fathers’ belief in God that is manifest throughout our founding documents, and a perverse hatred of our country in its current faith-based and free market form. Surprise! We all know this. After all, this is a man that fought to have children die if they survived an abortion attempt. He is not a good man and we know it. It should not be a shocker that he is attacking religious beliefs.
Even though all of the above is true, I believe the majority of citizens, politicians and pundits are missing the point with the obamacare mandate on reproductive preventative care. The attack on religion is just gravy for obama and, as long as we are simply viewing it as an attack on religion, we are missing the big picture. I actually see two distinct prongs on his pitchfork that have nothing to do with picking on churches and faith-based institutions. As is always the case with obama, you have to look at what this corrupt magician is doing with his “other” hand. While everyone is howling about birth control pills and Sandra Fluke, what is he really up to?
First of all, if he has us fighting about religion and how related institutions should be exempt from the contraceptive mandate, we are implying that everyone else SHOULD have to pay for protection against unwanted outcomes that could result from sleeping around. The fact is, no one should have it mandated that birth control has to be paid for by insurance companies. Where is personal responsibility in the reproductive mix? Democrats are essentially stating that women are too stupid and irresponsible to take care of themselves and that the government has to handle their reproductive health. How about not having sex if you cannot afford the consequences? Trust me, controlling the population of individuals that would embrace such a nannystate program is very attractive but that is beside the point. Sex and birth control are personal decisions and the costs associated with them, like birth control pills, are incidental and recurring costs related to the decision to have such interactions. It is not the reason insurance, by its very definition, exists. Why does your home insurance not cover repainting the house or the exterminator? It is because that insurance was meant to cover large unexpected expenses, not recurring bills for the upkeep of the home. If you force insurance companies to provide coverage for monthly expenses and not just catastrophic unforeseen expenses, you remove the original intent of insurance. We all need to frame the argument correctly and not have this sidetracked by red herrings. (By the way, please do not try the lame line about birth control pills being a medical necessity for some women. No one should have to pay for your pills just because they clear up your zits or regulate your period. Your problem, not mine.)
Secondly, if we are making this fight about religious freedoms versus a woman’s reproductive rights, we are completely missing what I think is an as of yet unreported aspect of this battle and the biggest elephant in the room. As it stands now, obamacare ORDERS all businesses, churches and any other institutions that offer insurance to also provide coverage for birth control and related issues. A company or insurer will either pay for the unwanted services or face massive fines per employee/per day that could quickly have a company of 100 employees paying millions in fines annually. Even smaller organizations, were they to be ‘conscientious objectors’ to the policy, could easily be facing hundreds of thousands in penalties rather quickly. Faced with that, what is a church, for example, to do? Either they get with the program, which would be fine with obama or, and this is where it gets good, they stick to their religious principles and are forced to cease offering health coverage of any kind. BINGO. While everyone is watching the fight over churches/pills/sex/Rush Limbaugh/Sandra Fluke, obama has found a way to take advantage of individuals that have the spine to stand against him. It is a win/win situation for his perverse side. Either churches provide the coverage for birth control services or stop offering insurance at all. If they cease covering their people, where will they get insurance? Good old obamacare. The more people he forces on to the public plan, the harder it will be to get rid of it down the road, and the quicker our descent into societal collapse and socialism. His ultimate goal, as is always the case with all such un-American Americans, is the fundamental transformation of our country’s populace into government dependent lapdogs. By fighting about minutiae instead of demanding the end of obamacare completely, President Alinsky Jr. has us rearranging the deck chairs on the Titantic.
Pretty, sneaky, huh?
As the sixth-great grandson of American patriot and Revolutionary War hero Christopher Gadsden, I feel it is my duty to speak fondly of America’s greatness and stand ready to defend her against all adversaries. Sadly, I must rail against the vileness and evil of the leftists, progressives, Marxist, socialists and idiots in general now threatening to destroy our great nation. If you support this aim, please spread the word.
