Dear Jack --

President Obama is trying to have it both ways on Keystone XL – and I need your help.

Last month, the president sided with his liberal base and rejected this important energy project and its tens of thousands of jobs….

…Now, he’s praising the company’s decision to go around him and begin work on portions of the project that don’t require presidential approval.

We can't allow President Obama to have it both ways.

Will you help my campaign team pressure President Obama to take a clear stand for new energy production and American job creation by making a donation of $5, $10, $25 or more at TeamBoehner.com today?

Americans overwhelmingly support Keystone XL. Labor unions, governors and lawmakers aren’t alone in supporting this job-creating project. A national survey recently found the American public supports it by a 41 point margin.

Gas prices are rising. Washington Democrats' refusal to back efforts to expand production of American energy is driving up energy prices and leaving us more dependent on oil from the Middle East.

Canada is prepared to ship these jobs to China. Canada has indicated that if President Obama continues to block approval of the entire Keystone XL project, it will ship its oil toward Asian markets – including China – that are demanding new sources of oil now.

That’s why I’m asking for your help today. If President Obama thinks Keystone XL is good for America, he can approve it and make it happen right way. Until he does, he’s just standing in the way.

Thank you in advance for your contribution of $5, $10, $25 or more. Your support today goes a long way toward helping me lead the fight for job creation and increased American energy production.

Sincerely,

John Boehner

P.S. President Obama wants Americans to believe he’s pleased to see the Keystone XL pipeline construction underway as he continues to block the project’s approval. Please make an immediate online contribution of $5, $10, $25 or more to help me in the fight to remove barriers to new American energy production.
