| Dear Jack,
Last night, SBA List-endorsed presidential hopeful Rick Santorum defied expectations by nearly beating Mitt Romney in the critical Michigan primary. Despite being outspent twelve to one by Romney and sustaining savage attacks from all sides, Santorum turned out Michigan voters in droves, coming within 4% of a win!
This is a victory, Jack, and make no mistake: momentum is building for Rick Santorum’s candidacy.
In fact, I just heard from SBA List’s own Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave who has been on the road this past week on the “Rick Bus.” She’s been touring Michigan with our allies to tout Santorum’s proven record on Life and get out the vote. The “Rick Bus” was so well received in Michigan that we’re expanding our tour to Ohio, Georgia, and Tennessee before Super Tuesday next week. As you know, over the past few days we’ve busily been trying to raise $62,500 to pay for the Michigan leg of the tour, as well as our other critical projects.
What else have we been working on?
While our political team has been in Michigan encouraging Santorum’s campaign, our Defund Planned Parenthood team was in Ohio. Chuck Donovan of the SBA List’s own Charlotte Lozier Institute testified before Ohio legislators on Tuesday in support of defunding legislation. If we can pass this bill in Ohio, hundreds of thousands of dollars will be diverted away from abortion provides like Planned Parenthood to health care entities that best serve women.
Meanwhile in Washington, our legislative team has been preparing for a critical vote on conscience protection this week in the U.S. Senate.
There is no such thing as too much coffee for the SBA team this week!
Thank you in advance for all of your support. Your prayers are also greatly appreciate as we continue in the fight to elect an authentic, proven pro-life president and defend unborn children across the county.
For Life,
Marjorie Dannenfelser President, Susan B. Anthony List www.sba-list.org
