Dear Jack,
We couldn't do it without you -- and without courageous workers like Dianne Knox.
Last month, the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in
Knox v. SEIU 1000, a class-action lawsuitbrought by Foundation attorneys challenging a corrupt union-boss political fundraising scheme.
It all started with eight civil servants, including Dianne Knox, who dared to stand up for their rights.
You see, back in 2005, SEIU Local 1000 union bosses demanded a "special assessment" to raise money from every single state employee covered by a union monopoly bargaining contract for a union political fund -- even those workers who objected to Big Labor politics and cannot legally be compelled to pay for such activities.
For more information on the case, including our interview with Dianne, please

Hopefully, we will soon be able to report a complete victory the 36,000 victimized employees -- and another vital precedent to protect workers nationwide.
Sincerely,
Mark Mix
P.S. The Foundation relies completely on voluntary contributions from its supporters to provide free legal aid.
