Did Justia.com deliberately aid Barack Obama in 2008 by helping to hide the one legal case that might prevent him from legally qualifying for the presidency?

On October 20, 2011, New Jersey attorney Leo Donofrio accused online legal research behemoth Justia.com of surgically redacting important information from their publication of 25 U.S. Supreme Court opinions which cite Minor v. Happersett, an 1874 decision which arguably contains language that appears to disqualify anyone from presidential eligibility who wasn’t born in the country to parents who were citizens.

According to the decision in Happersett:

At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. (Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162, 167 [1874])

Justia is a Google Mini-powered website which has singled itself out as one of the most comprehensive and easy-to-search legal sites on the internet. Other legal resources such as Lexis can cost as much as $5,000 a month for a subscription, and it’s impossible to hyperlink to cases which include copyrighted headnotes and analysis. This is why powerful law firms such as Perkins Coie (where former Obama White House Counsel Bob Bauer practices law) have cited Justia’s pages.

The question before us is very simple: why has no one with authority put this matter to rest? There have been videos showing his birth certificate was badly forged. There have been letters sent to congress by lawyers. There has been The Donald pushing this. The people have complained and been marginalized and called nut jobs. But the debate rages on and no resolution. Why? He is qualified or he is not. If we can't get a conclusion to this and make it stick, we all need to sit down and shut up. BUT, we never should let this happen again. Maybe we could send this to court now, with all the evidence available and let the Supreme Court rule. Otherwise, so long ad we complain and nothing happens we marginalize ourselves and the imposter remains!!!!!

Minor vs Happerset is the only Supreme Court case ever heard on this matter and has stood for ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SEVEN YEARS!! It is probably the major reason that the current court is reluctant to take up any challenge concerning "natural born" as a requirement for the presidency. They are not interested in retrying a case that was been settled in 1874 when the sitting Justices actually understood what the Founders of this country meant!!

Hopefully the GOP nominee will place at public disclosure all his or her college records and transcripts, original full form birth certificate, a copy of their page one of their 1040 for years 1990, 1995, and 2000 and pass ports open for public display as a condition of being a debate participant for the POTUS. One redaction is an immediate disqualifier, period. They either do this or they don't and if they don't, they do not get to debate. American people will know if something is being hidden and, this takes the politics, lawyers and judges out of the equation. Americans have a strong sense of right and wrong and a strong will to smoke out the truth...eventually.
