From the moment she arrived on Capitol Hill last year, Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle (R-NY) has been a tireless advocate for unborn children, women, and pro-life taxpayers.
In fact, you may remember that Ann Marie is such a ferocious opponent of Planned Parenthood that they called her the “poster child” of the pro-life movement.
Well, that’s what she is – and last night at the SBA List's annual Campaign for Life dinner here in Washington, D.C., Ann Marie proudly accepted our Distinguished Leader Award.

- Abortion Nondiscrimination Act (ANDA) & Respect for Rights of Conscience Act– to protect pro-life doctors, nurses, and health care workers from discrimination for wanting to protect Life.
- Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act (CIANA) – to make it illegal for anyone to transfer minors across state lines to avoid parental notification laws to undergo an abortion.
