Grassfire Nation Update
Yesterday, Grassfire's own Darla Dawald presented tens of thousands of petitions of support to Sheriff Joe Arpaio -- the Arizona sheriff who has withstood a blistering assault on his character by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Obama-controlled media and amnesty organizations like LaRaza that are trying to demonize him for his no-nonesense stance on illegal immigration.
During the presentation and press conference, Arpaio was terribly thankful for the widespread support of Grassfire Nation team members -- not just within Arizona, but throughout the nation. As he said, "I'm grateful that so many Americans are willing to stand with me at this time!" Jack, our camera's caught much of the activity of the day, and we want to share it with you. Afterall, the latino vote played a vital role in getting Barack Obama elected nearly four years ago. That's another reason why these attacks are resonating with so many law-abiding Americans. The tens of thousands of patriots who have signed our petition view Arpaio as a dedicated lawman and public servant committed to restoring law and order to a state that has literally been overrun by illegal aliens, by crime, drugs and violence. The fact that the DOJ would try to thwart his efforts by making sweeping (and as of yet unsubstantiated) allegations into his practices and procedures angers us all! That's why Grassfire is preparing to deliver petitions of support for Sheriff Joe to the Department of Justice -- demanding they cease and decist in efforts to undermine and destroy his crime-fighting reputation.
