Jack, I want to make sure you are aware of the serious threats that gun owners are facing in 2012. With Barack Obama desperate to pass gun control in an election year, you and I have to be on guard for any threat at any time. I've recently put together for you the National Association for Gun Rights 2012 Executive Summary. After you've read your 2012 Executive Summary, I hope you will consider chipping in at least $10 to help defend gun rights in 2012. -- Dudley Dear Jack: So far, Barack Obama and his anti-gun pals have succeeded in keeping their gun control schemes "under the radar." But with a tough re-election approaching, he has a base of rabid gun-hating liberals to appease. That means our gun rights could be on the chopping block! The last several months have been very busy as I travel all across the country, meeting with pro-gun activists. Now Congress is back in session for the new year. And quite frankly, I’m preparing for the worst. That’s why I’m counting on your IMMEDIATE action, Jack. You see, 2012 is going to be an absolutely CRITICAL year for our gun rights. Please click here to view NAGR's 2012 Executive Summary of the threats you and I face in the New Year. In just a few months, the United Nations meets in New York City to put the finishing touches to their radical “Small Arms Treaty.” Not only that, but President Obama is absolutely DESPERATE to win reelection and understands his only hope is to ensure the gun-grabbers get what they want. After all, if any left-wing interest group in President Obama’s formidable election machine fails to show up at the polls in November, he knows he’ll be toast. That means other MASSIVE new assaults on our Second Amendment freedoms are just around the corner. Add to that the critical primaries for the U.S. House and Senate that kick off in just weeks -- and the many opportunities you and I have to go on the OFFENSE at the state level -- and you and I certainly have our plates full. But the truth is, as it stands today, the National Association for Gun Rights’ bank accounts are dangerously low. And without an immediate influx of funds, I’m afraid 2012 could be a DISASTER. That's why after you see the 2012 Executive Summary I've prepared for you, I hope you'll chip in at least $10 to defend gun rights in 2012. Just consider what’s at stake. As I mentioned, the number-one threat we’re facing is the United Nations “Small Arms Treaty.” This dangerous Hillary Clinton-backed Treaty is nothing more than a massive GLOBAL gun control scheme designed to register, ban, and confiscate firearms from law-abiding citizens. And it doesn’t need approval by the Republican-controlled House -- only the Senate -- to be ratified. There, the often anti-gun old-guard “establishment” GOP holds tremendous sway. Not only that, but with a whopping eight U.S. Senators already announcing their retirements, you and I start off with our backs against the wall. After all, retiring Senators have no fear of blowback at the polls for GUTTING our gun rights. And don’t think for a second President Obama and his anti-gun pals will sit around and wait for you and me to mobilize after the U.N.’s “Small Arms Treaty” is finalized this summer. Just like so many other assaults on our liberties that we’ve seen in recent years, the “Small Arms Treaty” will be fast-tracked and sold as a vital “anti-terrorism measure” that Senators can read only AFTER ratification. I don’t know about you, but that sends shivers down my spine. But the truth is, the United Nation’s “Small Arms Treaty” could be just the tip of the iceberg You and I must also be on guard for other anti-gun assaults like: *** A new so-called “Assaults Weapon Ban.” *** A New "Magazine Ban." *** Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s “Catch-All Gun Control Scheme.” You see, these federal legislative fights are far from all we have to be concerned about. 2012 is a critical election year after all. I know the race for President -- and the likely ability to shape our Supreme Court for decades to come -- speaks for itself. But you and I both know key races for the U.S. House and Senate can be every bit as important. And in the Senate, we have REAL opportunities to take on some of those anti-gun old-guard establishment GOP types. For example, in Indiana, incumbent Senator Dick Lugar is facing a stiff Tea Party primary challenge from Richard Mourdock. In Maine, Olympia Snowe is facing a tough primary fight as well. And, of course, both of these incumbent Republicans have LONG anti-gun records. You may even remember last year Dick Lugar joining the media’s anti-gun hysteria after the Arizona tragedy by calling for a new so-called “Assault Weapons Ban”! Add to that several critical open seat fights, and vulnerable Democrat incumbents facing reelection like Ben Nelson (NE), Bill Nelson (FL), Jon Tester (MT), and Sherrod Brown (OH) facing reelection, and 2012 could be an historic year if we can raise the resources. But even besides all that, please realize the National Association for Gun Rights effectiveness comes not because I cozy up to anti-gun politicians and cut deals so they’ll like us. It’s because they HATE us. It’s because politicians know that if they vote to whittle away at our gun rights, there WILL be a price to pay. You and I make sure of it. That’s why we cannot afford to just sit 2012 out. Should we make that mistake, can you imagine the fallout? When 2013 rolls around, we’d likely be facing a whole new crop of emboldened anti-gun politicians, and a new congress, who believe there’s nothing to fear in launching new anti-gun assaults. So we must have the resources to hold politicians accountable in 2012 and fund our critical federal legislative efforts. And on top of all that, just consider what’s going on at the state level! Last year, thanks to the efforts of the National Association for Gun Rights, Constitutional Carry laws passed in Wyoming. Under Constitutional Carry, law-abiding citizens no longer have to deal with all the outrageous fees and bureaucratic rigmarole just to carry a gun to protect themselves and their families. If you’re legal to own a firearm, you’re legal to carry it. PERIOD. As groundbreaking as 2011 was for passing new Constitutional Carry laws, I believe we could hand the gun-grabbers a rout in 2012. In fact, I expect efforts to pass Constitutional Carry to gain a full head of steam in states like Iowa, Georgia, Montana, New Hampshire, Virginia and Wisconsin. At least a half-a-dozen other states could consider Constitutional Carry, as well. But WINNING these fights could all depend on whether you and I have the resources to get involved. So please recognize how serious this is. Without your generous support, I simply won’t have the funds to do everything that must be done. So I’m counting on you to make the most generous contribution you can afford. Your generous support will help pay for direct mail and online alerts to help turn up the heat on politicians. And you’ll be paying for our hard-hitting radio, newspaper, internet and TV ad campaigns it will take to make each one of these efforts a resounding success, as well. As I’ve told you, 2012 will be an absolutely critical year for our gun rights. On one hand, with the gun-grabbers so determined to finally succeed in a full-frontal assault on your Second Amendment rights, we could be staring disaster in the face. On the other, we could strike an incredible blow against anti-gun activists and take a giant step forward to FULLY restoring all of our lost Second Amendment freedoms. And in many ways, the decision you make right now will determine everything. So please click here to contribute IMMEDIATELY. With Congress already back in session, and the fights already begun, I need to hear from you immediately. If you believe, like I do, we must stand toe-to-toe against the gun-grabbers and defend our Second Amendment at all costs, I hope you’ll agree to chip in $20. If that’s simply too much, won’t you agree to just $10? Believe me -- I know times are tough out there for many good folks. The National Association for Gun Rights depends on the generosity of folks like you for the funds it needs to fight the gun-grabbers. When you’re facing tough times, we face tough times too. But the truth is, I can’t stomach the thought of giving up the fight. If you agree, please chip in just $10 or $20 TODAY!
