Journalist Threatened With Arrest By TSA – Writes Scathing Response

A journalist who was threatened with arrest by the TSA merely for asking for the names of an agent and supervisor at JFK airport, and was then publicly denounced on the TSA’s blog, has hit back with a scathing response.
As we have reported this week, talk radio host and syndicated columnist Amy Alkon related the run-in she had with the TSA recently, saying she had her genitals inappropriately touched after opting out of a body scan. When Alkon asked to submit a formal complaint, a TSA supervisor refused to cooperate, refused to identify himself, and threatened the journalist with arrest.
In response to Alkon’s written account of what happened, TSA employee Bob Burns posted a piece on the official TSA blog, calling Alkon’s comments “offensive” and publicly smearing the journalist as “somebody who makes a living by agitating situations and writing about them.” Burns also threatened tacitly Alkon by noting “I can assure you of one thing, an infinitesimal number of our employees know of Ms. Alkon.”

From what I understand, this group is trying to keep terrorists out of America. What good is it when these terrorists can just cross the boarder from Mexico with anything they want, and then blow up whatever they want. So I say do away with TSA unless they get serious and close the boarders.

Why is it, when the enemies of the United States are without, the TSA conducts searches within? Why is it in America when some idiot breaks the law all other Americans have to be held responsible? Why not send these idiots and cowards of the TSA to the war zones to scan peoples in Afganistan, Iraq, or Israel for that fact; where the real bombers operate. Seem just today in Tel Aviv a bus was bombed injuring 21 peoples - just imagine perhaps if the TSA were there that event could of been avoided. The TSA should be disbanded precisely because they violate the rights of Americans as well as human rights violations. No American was involved in 9/11; ask your self why have we become the enemy. No American was involved in the previous attempt to bomb the World Trade Towers, the Marine barracks in Lebannon or the attack on the Cole, or the attack at Fort Hood; yet we are seen as Americans as the source of the terrorism, violence and killing. Every American has a right not to be touched or violated - that right accorded to Muslim women but not American women - from Muslim societies where the Muslim woman has to do everything they are told to do by the males in their families or their husbands; and, many and more of the Arab/Muslim bombers are Muslim women. Seems only logical you would search any and all Muslim women and leave American women alone.
I would hope to see a direct protest to this ultimate violation of Americans rights and human rights evolve into a one month protest where no one any where flys to or returns on board a commerical airline foreign or domestic. Overnight several airlines would go bankrupt and others would be severely financially damaged; and, all those many agents of the TSA would lose their jobs. It would be the only way the airline companies and the United States government would get the message.
Yes, indeed, send all the TSA agents to the war zones of the world and let them do the job they are paid to do; finding terrorist bombers in the war zones American soldiers are dying.

You probably don't see a lot of big fat ugly women being searched. Nothing but a bunch of perverts and thieves working at the TSA. I will never get on another plane as long as they are in business. To make maters worse, these idiots are federalized.

@Jaime Cancio.... So Muslim women can 'opt out' because of their religion. I've never flown and NEVER intend to (especially since flying now involves Gestapo like searches on every American!). But IF I DID... I'd FLATLY refuse the scan AND the grope (uh..pat down) on the ground's of MY religion also. As Christian woman we are to keep ourselves chaste if unmarried OR married, (in that case only allowing our HUSBANDS to touch us!). If Muslim women can use their religion to avoid scans and groping (dang!... keep forgetting to call it a pat down) Christian women should be allowed the same privilege! All it would take is a Christian woman who DOES fly to find a lawyer who could start a class action suit against the gov. AND the airports...

Good idea! Why do we have to put up with this nonsense?
I haven't flown in a while, and will have to next summer to attend my nephew's wedding....it would take several days of driving to get there.............but I do not intend to put up with someone other than my husband to grope me!

The "TSA" AKA "TRULY STUPID A$$HOLES" is what most airline employees call them, Most of the airport & airline employees have had stories of bullying ,stealing & threatening personel on a regular basis, also some not at work and still being shown as "on the clock" sleeping & drinkinjg on the job! This is truly another welfare program, no more , no less! Studies have shown that the airport could contract it out,cheaper and actually perform the job at a more professional level than the obaminites!!

The journalist is correct in her description of what the whole purpose of the TSA is all about: conditioning Americans to continued violations of our civil liberties. The TSA is all about intimidation and if you think it is bad now, just wait as they are now unionized.
