This evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahureleased a statement via his Facebook page explaining that while Israel may need to take “harsher military action,” he wants to exhaust all ceasefire possibilities before doing so.

I realize that there are citizens who expect a harsher military action and we may very well need to do that. But at present, the right thing for the State of Israel is to exhaust this possibility of reaching a long-term cease-fire. As Prime Minister, I have the responsibility, and it is the highest responsibility, to make the right steps to ensure our security. That is what I have done and it is what I will continue to do.
Netanyahu’s statement that many citizens want more complete military action is a signal that he won’t be sitting around forever as Hamas continues to violate the ceasefire; since the supposed ceasefire, over 20 rockets have been fired into Israel, including one that hurt an 11-year-old. The ceasefire is merely a first step, not a last step. The next step depends on Hamas – and President Obama, who seems unwilling to allow Israel to take the steps necessary to clean out Hamas from the Gaza Strip.

    I must assume that Breitbart in the person of Ben Shapiro has taken on the role of the Grim Reaper.  Breitbart and Shapiro obviously won't be happy until the conflict resumes and images of bloodshed again fill our screens.  Breitbart is a shameless warmonger that deserves to be held accountable for the blood of women and children on it's hands.

They need people like yourself to explain to them how easily this can be solved. They may even make you an ambassador. I try and read articles and blogs that I tend to agree with and that resemble my point of view. I would never go over to MSNBC and bother working myself all up over their liberal articles or comments. You say the readers of Breitbart just want war, unrest and no peace yet you inflict the same on yourself by taunting everyone on this blog. Just curious why you don't try to have some peace in your own life.

    Like all Western diplomats, he are in a compulsive state of denial. No doubt Hillary convinced him that this wasn't a "good time" to have principles and responsibilities.

    The idea that the perpetrators of blatant terrorism can simply walk away with no consequence is a sign of greater horrors to come.
    This is not a cease-fire, it is a collapse by Israel, allowing the Gazans to regroup and rearm, as we have done with AQ these last ten years.

    I admit to not being the sharpest tool in the box, but since this area is the Holy Land for several major religions, I would think the Wisdom of Solomon would imply that this land is too Holy for anyone to own. It should be a place so sacred that no arms would be allowed and it should be governed by a coalition of equal representatives of all religions. Now it is like the woman appearing before Solomon, claiming to be the Mother, of the child, who was willing to have the child cut in half, when the real Mother would rather give up her child, than have it harmed.

    The problem is that the Muslims are the wicked woman from that story who was more than willing to see the baby cut in two rather than let the real mother have the child.
    Hamas' Position = Kill ALL the Jews.
    Israel's Position = Don't Kill Any Jews.
    So where is the compromise there? Only killing half the Jews?

    The Israli Prime Minister's statement earlier this year said it most succinctly,
    If Iran (0r any other muslim dominated theocracy) will put down their weapons today we will have peace, if Israel puts down their weapons today Israel will no longer exist.

    Read up on the history of the Lebanese civil war. When Muslims got to be a majority amount of the country's population they killed 150,000  Jews, and Christians in a war that lasted 15 years. Before that when there were Christians and Jews in the majority  Beirut was known for being the Paris of the middle East.
