Dear Jack,

I wanted to make sure you were aware of the outrageous actions by the United Nations and UNESCO today by issuing Palestine membership. .

Our country cannot afford another leader like President Obama who continues time after time to betray Israel. I stand with Israel, and I need your help to oppose this outrageous display of disrespect towards Israel. If you support my stance towards Israel, I hope you will consider making a generous donation towards my campaign.

We cannot turn our back on Israel- and I will not stand by and allow the United Nations and UNESCO to turn their backs either. I hope you will stand with me today.

Michele

Bachmann Responds to Palestinian Membership in UNESCO

Urbandale, Iowa – Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann issued the following statement in light of Palestinian membership in the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) today:

“Today marked a sad day for the world and our ally Israel as the Palestinian flag was raised at UNESCO headquarters. It is another representation of the failure of President Obama’s leadership in the world as a terrorist organization that seeks the destruction of Israel was given legitimacy by UNESCO. It is President Obama’s weakness in the Middle East that has emboldened the Palestinians to attempt to achieve statehood through the UN rather than at the legitimate negotiation table with Israel. I would go a step further and withdraw our membership from UNESCO and I would withdraw U.S. funding from any UN entity that recognizes Palestine or grants them membership. I would also deny funding for the Palestinians and would close the PLO office in Washington, D.C. The Palestinians must recognize Israel’s right to exist and renounce violence against Israel to become a serious partner in peace with Israel. And President Obama must realize that it is Israel who is our true friend in the Middle East.”
