ACTION ALERT: Tell Your Congressman to Co-sponsor House Resolution Declaring ObamaCare Unconstitutional
December 16, 2011
Fellow Patriot,
2012 will be a pivotal year in the battle against ObamaCare.
The Supreme Court will begin hearing arguments on the constitutional challenges to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in March. The court is expected to issue its ruling in late June.
Last month, the Supreme Court received a resounding and unmistakable message from the state of Ohio. Millions of Ohioans rejected ObamaCare and overwhelmingly passed the Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment, repudiating ObamaCare's mandates and infringements on individual liberty and personal freedom.
Now it's time for the Supreme Court to hear from Congress.
As a coequal branch of government in our system of checks and balances, it is important that Congress clearly make its opinion known to the Supreme Court before it rules.
Congressman Phil Roe, M.D. (R-TN) has introduced H. Res. 475. The resolution is short and to-the-point: It declares ObamaCare to be unconstitutional and the onerous individual mandate to be non-severable from rest of the law.
Currently 63 members of Congress are co-sponsors of Congressman Roe's resolution. We need more.
Call or email your member of Congress today. Tell him or her to sign on as a co-sponsor to H. Res. 475.
As the number of co-sponsors grows, the power of the message to the Supreme Court grows louder and louder. Help make sure the Supreme Court gets the message.
Sincerely,
Carrie L. Lukas
