Dear Jack,  I have been truly honored in my lifetime to meet with some of most renowned leaders of the conservative movement. In the 1980s, I was able to spend time with President Reagan when The Heritage Foundation provided him with a copy of our Mandate for Leadership, which laid out more than 2,000 specific suggestions for his administration.
On his desk, Reagan had a plaque that read, "It CAN be done." I have never believed those words more fervently than I do today. What people loved about President Reagan was his ability to inspire us for something great--he called on Americans to believe in something bigger than themselves in a way that few communicators in our time have been able to capture. At The Heritage Foundation, we work every day to inspire people with the conservative principles upon which our nation was founded.
