 Dear Jack, Faced with the ongoing horror of abortion, I know that pro-lifers appreciate some good news. Now it looks like pro-life supporters in the Senate could tip the balance in stopping one of Obama’s most recent pro-abortion Federal Court appointments. The appointment in question is that of Kevin Ohlson who as the Chief of Staff for U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has given swipe after swipe against pro-lifers. Under his supervision, the Department of Justice has: ... In Washington DC, sued and fined an eighty-year old Catholic pro-life counselor $25,000 for standing on a sidewalk near an abortion mill even though the man threatened no one. Ohlson’s lawyers claimed because people had to walk around him, he had violated a so-called “Freedom of Access” law and are demanding a twenty-five thousand dollar fine; ... In Florida, they fined a woman $10,000 for passing out pro-life literature in front of a West Palm Beach abortion clinic; ... In Oregon they, along with the National Abortion Federation and Planned Parenthood, hosted a seminar at the FBI headquarters. In the seminar they branded peaceful activities such as prayer and literature distribution near abortion clinics as “violence” against abortionists; ... In Indiana they even sued the state government on behalf of the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, attempting to overturn a state law cuts off the flow of tax dollars to the abortion chain.
