Obama to Congress: I’ll decide what’s constitutional
Obama served notice to all Americans that he will continue to abuse executive privilege by seeking new ways to vilify gun owners and further his anti-gun agenda.
Congress placed a provision in the $1 trillion omnibus spending bill for 2012 designed to bar the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from using any of its $30.7 billion taxpayer funds to “advocate or promote gun control.” However, upon signing the bill into law,President Obama issued a caveat of his own:
I have advised Congress that I will not construe these provisions as preventing me from fulfilling my constitutional responsibility to recommend to the Congress’s consideration such measures as I shall judge necessary and expedient.
In other words: “Congress may pass laws, but I decide which of its laws are constitutional and which I can simply choose to ignore.”
Of course, the Constitution doesn’t actually give the president this power, but Obama won’t allow a little thing like the U.S. Constitution get in his way. And in the present case, Congress is right to try to prevent him from using a federal health agency, not to mention our tax dollars, as a weapon in his ongoing war against the Second Amendment. As The Washington Times reports, NIH has wasted over $5 million since 2002 producing deceptive studies aimed at furthering gun control — including one study that tried “to prove that a home without firearms was essential to a child’s safety and well-being.”

Last month, email exchanges surfaced between employees at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) that show the administration helped illegally transfer guns to violent Mexican drug cartels in order to manufacture a case for gun registration. Now gun dealers in four Southwest border states must abide by a new gun registration requirement, courtesy of BATFE, that forces them to register the sales of any law-abiding American who purchases more than one semi-automatic rifle within five business days.
Congress never passed any law like this. Rather, Obama’s BATFE orchestrated the deadly “Fast and Furious” gun-walking scandal to give cause for its unconstitutional gun-control edict. Given this, how hard is it to envision the Obama administration issuing a phony “health” study that maligns gun owners?
Obama may not have a majority in Congress, or the will of the people, behind his anti-gun agenda. But that isn’t stopping his administration from finding deceitful ways to evade Congress and build public support for gun bans, gun registration and other regulations designed to weaken and destroy our Second Amendment rights.

Only one Senate Democrat supports Obama’s recess claim
Only one Senate Democrat, out of 51 asked, told The Daily Caller that President Barack Obama was correct when he claimed the Senate was in recess Jan. 3. That’s the day Obama announced that he had exercised his executive authority to fill four top posts during a Senate recess.
Their GOP counterparts slammed Obama for claiming the power to decide when the Senate is in recess.
Democratic Sen. Tom Carper of Delaware said he believed the Senate was in a recess when Obama made the controversial appointments, according to a statement from his office.
A spokesperson for South Dakota Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson said he “supports the appointments,” but wouldn’t answer whether Johnson thought the Senate was in recess.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid endorsed Obama’s decision as a way around GOP opposition, but pointedly refused to say whether he thought the Senate was in recess.
Spokespersons for independent Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut also did not respond to The DC’s questions about whether they thought the Senate was in recess that day. Though they don’t belong to the Democratic Party officially, both Sanders and Lieberman caucus with Democrats in the Senate.
Obama claimed to have used his recess-appointment authority to appoint former Ohio attorney general Richard Cordray to oversee the banking sector, and three officials to serve on the National Labor Relations Board.

Michelle Obama’s warning to gun owners
Nearly three years into President Obama’s first term in office, Michelle Obama finally said something with which I can agree.
At a recent fundraiser for President Obama’s re-election campaign in Providence, Rhode Island, the first lady told her audience:
“We stand at a fundamental crossroads for our country. You’re here because you know that in just 13 months, we’re going to make a choice that will impact our lives for decades to come … let’s not forget what it meant when my husband appointed those two brilliant Supreme Court justices … let’s not forget the impact that their decisions will have on our lives for decades to come.”
This was music to the ears of the small, affluent crowd of admirers who cheered and applauded. But to gun owners, Michelle Obama’s remarks should sound like a warning bell, alerting us to the danger ahead should Barack Obama win re-election and get the opportunity to alter the current make-up of the Supreme Court.
When Americans flock to the polls in 13 months, we will not simply decide which direction our country should take over the next four years. Rather, we will decide whether or not our fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms will survive over the next several decades.
Currently, the Second Amendment clings to a 5-4 pro-freedom majority on the Supreme Court. Just one vote is all that stands between the America our Founding Fathers established and a radically different America that Barack Obama and his supporters envision.
If you want to read something scary, take another look at the minority opinions in the Supreme Court’s landmark Heller and McDonald decisions that struck down Washington, D.C.’s and Chicago’s unconstitutional gun bans. In the Heller dissent, four justices concluded that the Second Amendment does not guarantee an individual right to own a firearm, nor does it protect our right to defend ourselves, our families, or our property. In McDonald, the same four justices argued that the 5-4 Heller decision should be reversed.

An open letter
For the longest time I was confused about just who this Obama character was. Yes I knew and know he lies even when his lips were not moving. I knew and know that he is attempting to destroy our America. What I could not figure out was why.
Know your enemy is the way of understanding. So I began to read some of his quotes. What I discovered was amazing.
He, Obama is a teenage/child (lacking wisdom), an educated idiot (a professional student learning nothing) standing on a soapbox, (wants to be noticed) blaming the world, white people, Tea Party, Banks, rich people, stupid Americans and Israel for his inadequacies. Obama has never made out a paycheck (as I understand it), never run anything more then his mouth, and has never organized anything except Union gangsters and mobs. Now He is attempting to fool us into believing that He can be BOSS, Emperor or King.
My conclusion is, this person is dangerous to the USA and the world. Obama must be expunged from our White House and tried as a traitor to this nation.
There are those among us that say should we lose our freedom we will need to wait generations to restore that freedom. That may or may not be so but be advised, I took an oath to defend my country and the constitution of the United States some many years ago when I joined the US Navy. My oath still stands today!!
